Here is my (very rough) first attempt at rendering fur on one of the characters of my final film; the mouse. As you can see, it hasn't been wholly successful!

    doesn't look too bad on the body, although it does go a bit mental around the ears and legs and stuff. do you have "the book" http://amzn.to/fa5rPr

    it has a whole section of fur for a mouse thing

    Cheers for the link. Yeh, I have that book but its pretty vague on how to use fur properly. So I'm not using maya fur anymore!!
